new （2/11/'12) 楽焼（ Raku-ware )
| 楽焼は一般的に轆轤を使わず手捏ねで作られます。低温焼成(750℃〜1100℃）で焼かれるので、手触り、風合いがやさしいやきものです。
'Raku' usually is created without wheel and
by hand-forming instead.

1)黒楽
Kuroraku
(black colored Raku ware)
| 素焼き後に黒釉を掛けて、800℃〜1000℃で焼きます。
黒楽茶碗は格が高いものとされ、濃茶に使われることが多い、厚手で深さのある抹茶茶椀です。 After first firing of a raw clay piece, the
biscuit piece applies black raku glaze and it gets into fire again in around
1470F - 1830F.

黒楽釉をかけて焼いた後に、金釉で一葉を茶碗正面に
上絵付けして、800℃で再度焼成しました。

After firing the bowl covered with black raku
glaze,
I drew a leaf with gold glaze over the surface
of the bowl
and fired again at 1470F.

This tall bowl is covered with mat rake glaze.
This type of tall and deep bodied bowl usually is used to keep certain
temperature during cold season.

Akaraku
| 赤楽は、赤土に透明釉薬を掛けて800〜900℃で焼いて作ります。
It is made with red clay and has transparent glaze on it. It then applies about 1470〜1650F firing. |
